This serving platform starts as a cross-cut end slice from a solid black walnut log — the kind of cut that reveals everything the tree spent decades building. Tight growth rings radiate from the centre. The live edge bark wraps the perimeter, dark and textured against the warm amber heartwood. No two pieces are identical.

Four hand-cut solid walnut feet — some showing the natural blonde sapwood contrast — lift the platform off your surface and give it presence on any table.

The Finish

Each piece is hand-finished with a food-safe oil soak followed by a hand-applied beeswax seal. The oil penetrates the grain to nourish and protect the wood; the beeswax locks in that warmth and gives the surface a smooth, natural sheen. It arrives ready to use — no oiling required.
