Nature of Products

All products sold by Studio 5 Woodworking are handcrafted from natural hardwood materials. As a natural material, wood exhibits inherent characteristics including variations in grain pattern, colour, figure, and texture. These natural variations are not defects and are considered part of the unique character of each handcrafted piece.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Studio 5 Woodworking and any individuals associated with Studio 5 Woodworking shall not be held responsible or liable for any injury, loss, damage, or harm — whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or otherwise — arising from the purchase, use, misuse, improper handling, or improper care of any product sold by Studio 5 Woodworking.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Personal injury resulting from dropping, mishandling, or improper use of any product
  • Property damage caused by product use or misuse
  • Damage to the product resulting from failure to follow provided care instructions
  • Natural wood movement, checking, or cracking resulting from exposure to extreme heat, moisture, or improper storage
  • Damage caused by use of the product in a manner inconsistent with its intended purpose

Care Instructions

All wood products require proper care to maintain their integrity and longevity. Damage resulting from failure to follow Studio 5 Woodworking's care instructions — including but not limited to dishwasher use, prolonged water exposure, or leaving product in direct sunlight — is not covered under any warranty or return policy.

Maximum Liability

In any event, the maximum liability of Studio 5 Woodworking to any customer shall not exceed the original purchase price paid for the product in question.

Governing Law

This Legal Notice and all matters relating to purchases from Studio 5 Woodworking are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
